Paul Moody’s new album By Your Side started with about 40 demos written and recorded during a 5 month period when Paul lived in Nashville, Tennessee. The strongest ones were selected and recorded from the acoustic guitar on up in a small windowless cabin without running water near Woodstock, New York. The album conveys a depth of themes, From songs about personal heartache, to an irreverent upbeat folk pop song about a cocaine angel, to a ballad of holding on after the loss of a loved one, to a tragic and possibly humorous (depending on how dark your sense of humor is) tale about a Stalker getting fatally hit by a car. In an age where algorithm can make albums, an algorithm could have never made this album. The Album features talented artists such as Mikaela Davis, James Felice of the Felice brothers, Keith Goodwin of Good Old War and many others. By Your Side is out everywhere.

“While I spent hours devouring his "Ghost Album", released in 2018, Paul Moody continues to surprise and amaze me. "Letting Light In" is like a cry for help from a person who is afraid of drowning deeply in love. Letting this light in is sometimes risky, and upsets habits. But don't you think the experience is worth it? -Indie Music Center

“His irresistible music is perfect for fans of Josh Ritter and Joe Purdy.” -Chillfiltr

“I love all the music I share here on York Calling, but ever so often I hear something that’s really special. Songs From Youth is that. Full of authentic emotion, beautifully articulated with much thought put into how the music supports the story – it’s an album you simply have to listen to.” -York Calling

“Moody’s intelligent poetry is captivating, swaying through a string-infused bed of warm indie-folk instrumentation that is both sparse and spacious.”-Glide Magazine
